Hello everyone! This orphanage was started in 2006 by an amazing local family who still live in and run the home today. They provide protection, shelter, food, medical care, schooling (primary, secondary and skills training) and love to some of the most vulnerable children in Ghana. They also have a focus on assisting traumatized and vulnerable mothers in the community.

At any given time 50 children reside in the home, and another 100 in the community are assisted with their foster families and relatives.

Their greatest needs are the daily basic needs, (previously shelter which now has been taken care of by the Ghana Love project), food, clothing, medical bills, utilities, transportation fees to and from school and school fees for the children past high school.

Sadly, we haven’t been able to travel to Ghana as many times a year as we usually do, but rest assured that your contributions over the last year have never meant more to the causes we support there.

This year, thanks to your support, we were able to pay the school fees for ALL the children in care, supplied almost all their food for the year, had food and supplies sent when Covid hit so that nobody had to leave the compound and instead could isolate, water for the year, hydro for the year, substantial plumbing repairs to the home, new louvres for the windows and many other home upgrades. Something we were extremely excited to fund this year was a 2nd home for some of the older children (over 17 years of age) to live at while continuing their education. Often children over 17 fall through the cracks and no longer get support; we have always felt this is when they need us the most.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping us do the work we do in Ghana, it isn’t possible without your help. I will end with a note from Rhoda who runs the home on a daily basis.

We are so grateful for all your support throughout these years and the years about to come, it can never become successful without your constant help. Indeed you were all part of our journey and really choose the right people who needed the generous help, you have been providing for us, you choose the right place and the right people. Through your help and our supreme protection, these children have grown beautifully, and I know they will all come out as a good seed and do the same for others that are also in need. You loved, cared and nurtured all of us unconditionally and in this note the Management, entire caregivers and the children under our care uses our profound gratitude to say thank you and so grateful for meeting you all. All tears have turned into laughter all because of your unconditional love. Their smiles always reciprocate as a blessing unto you and your entire generations. We are all blessed to have you as a family in the other continent.
